Figure Skater Boy.

Today at work I broke open a pack of Smarties and started lining them up according to colour. Everyone thought I was adorable.

Late-y Potate-y

I was thinking about my grade eight yearbook when I was at work today, so when I got home I decided to look through it.

Just some of the things that I laughed at:
1. Teera-Lee and I had the same favorite memory. That time when I kicked Curtis Grainger in the head with my shoe.
2. Under Thomas Adair's favorite person it says "Daniel Johnston".
3. Thomas Adair's fate is to be beaten to death by a mob of lawn gnomes.
4. Someone wrote that their career ambition was to become a professional wrestler and then one of the teacher's made him write "dream job" in brackets.
5. Kaelynne Jameson wrote "Don't be poor!" under her fate.
6. Lauren Palmer's favorite memory of Athabasca school was meeting Daniel Johnston.
7. Lora Zak spelled the word ninja wrong. (ninga)
8. My teacher said that I was: intelligent, quiet, mature.
9. Someone wrote "See you in time" in the back, but didn't sign it.
10. Tyler Sackman wrote "I'll never remember you".

Short Form.

I'm too lazy to write everything that happened when I went out to Gray on Friday night, so I'll just do a highlights reel.

-picking vegetables in the garden
-owls swooping by the windows
-swinging in the hammock
-antelope babies in the field
-shooting things with a BB gun (angel, bell, box... angel, bell, box)
-random fireworks down the back roads on the drive home

Today I went shopping for a new bike, but apparently I'm really picky, so we didn't end up finding anything that I liked. There were a couple that I wouldn't have minded, but they were around six hundred dollars so that was a bust.

When I was running my dogs this morning a truck was coming towards us, so I put the dogs in the car and waited for the truck to pass. It passed, stopped, went into reverse and then came parallel to my car, and then Murray's smiling head pops out the window, looking equally as bewildered as my own. Small world.

Also, I've been noticing feet a lot lately, so I gave myself a pedicure in my bathtub. It was excellent.

Highlights Of My Week.

1. Mother Mother. I can't stop listening to them this week. When I go between my two jobs downtown at lunchtime, I dance on the street corner while I wait for the light to change.

2. Courage. Even if it didn't turn out well, I was extremely courageous this week.

3. The Happening. At one point in the movie an old woman says, "Why you eyeing my lemon drink?" Nobody in the packed movie theatre laughed, except for Aimee and I. Which just made me laugh harder.

4. Bus-isodes. These are the best things ever. When there are crazy people on the bus, or other super hilarious bus happenings. Like the ladies with the fisherman bucket hats who were fighting.

5. AHP. I worked alone for the first time since I started and it was stressful! And awesome!! I really like working there. The only thing I hate is balancing the books at the end. It's the worst part of my day. Also, they only have a radio there, no CD player, so I listen to the worst music ever for four and a half hours.

6. Cute Coffee Shop Boys. Yesterday we decided to get some coffee (or whatever) and walk around the park before we headed over to O'Hanlons. The coffee shop boy was adorable and made a heart out of the milk he put in my drink. If I was a gutsier lady I totally would have asked him out. Alas, I used my quota of courage for the week.

Boyfriend Of The Week #8

David Wenham.
Where to begin?! The only redeemable quality of the movie Van Helsing is that it has David Wenham in it and he's a friar. Apparently he's also in Moulin Rouge. Not to mention that he's adorable... and was scantily clad in 300. For rocking my nerdy socks as Faramir in The Lord Of The Rings, this week's for you.

Funny Faces and Fishbowls on a Friday

Yesterday after work I went over to Aimee's house. The following hilarity ensued.
We plotted. We planned.We executed.

100 Books - Book #8

I just finished reading A Million Little Pieces and I might have jumped the gun when I said I hated the book's guts. It is nowhere near being a book that I would recommend to someone, but in the end it had some redeeming features. I might have even been rooting for him by the end. Although he was a really bad guy. Whatever, I'm done now. Thank you James Frey for keeping me up at night with horrible dreams of getting dental work done with no anesthetic. Jerk.

Book #8:
Atonement by Ian McEwan.

*Note. I'm never going to be able to read 100 books in a year. At this point I'm really just seeing how many I can. I don't think I even read eight books last year, so we're off to a good start.

100 Books - Book #7

White Oleander. Book Vs. Movie.
Book beats movie. However, in the book "Uncle Ray" is really old which creeps me out. Also there is one hundred percent more dog attacks. Not that dog attacks are a pro, I just wanted it known that she gets attacked by a dog.
