There Was Talk at the Time

My brother and I went out to the shed today. No one has gone out to the shed in probably about five or six years. It's filled with a tonne of junk and old memories. Things of note that I found include, a pack of Big Chew, my old baseball mitt, my Barbie dreamhouse and my Grandpa's old table and chairs from the farm (which I'm totally stealing when I move out). We also found an old pair of pantyhose that were still in the packaging. We ripped them in half, put them over our heads and ran into the house screaming. It was hilarious.

Anyway, we made plans to attack the shed next weekend. The plan is to pretty much back up my brother's trailer to the door and throw it all away, which is a huge waste, but most of it has serious water damage and or is in various stages of decomposing.

I woke up this morning to my back making a crazy crunching sound. I've hardly been able to move all day. IT BLOWS.

I May As Well

I woke up late today and then took my dog to the park. I'm trying to socialize him more and get him used to more people because he's a crazy anti-social, I want to bite everyone and attack small dogs freak of nature. We drove out to the dog park, sat outside the fence like a couple of creepers and watched the other dogs having awesome times.

Went to the bookstore in the afternoon to hang out. I found Kristy the perfect gift, bought ice cream for everyone and found a sweet puzzle book in the recycling. Some CRAZY PERSON threw it in there, not recognizing its pure awesomeness.

Man, I love used bookstores.

Bodies of Alcohol.

I don't think I would ever want to be friends with Joel Plaskett, but he puts on a nice show. I left feeling nice. Also, his dad and cousins were playing with him and everyone knows how I love a good family band. My great uncle died last week and I found out that my mom's side of the family totally had a family band thing going on. They were all self taught which pretty much just blows my mind.

When I was driving home tonight, all of the fields were the strangest colour of yellow. Bright yellow. It was almost like they were glowing. I'm not usually one for the colour yellow, but it was gorgeous. Almost like this colour, but at night and brighter. It was eerie.

Geeky Freaks, Freaky Geeks

"Remember that time in science class when I tried to sneak out a fart, but it came out a... a poop and I had to flush my undies down the toilet? Do you think I wanted to tell you guys that?"

I love Bill. I love Freaks and Geeks.

Midnight Swimming.

You know when you're thinking about something really deep, or maybe math? You think, if I just think a little harder I can totally wrap my mind around this. I've been having those kind of thoughts the last couple of days. I'm blowing my own mind.

Also, comedic timing, WD40, Jenn Grant, Jose Gonzales, yoga, bike rides, clean bedrooms, feathers, enchilladas, public transit, finish lines. That's all.

Nobody's Watching, Dance.

Today started out really shitty, but turned out to be super sweet. My mom woke me up at 9:30 to let my dog in my room. He didn't want to be there, I didn't want him to be there, it led to an akward high pitched whine. Then I couldn't fall back asleep because my neighbour was blasting Aerosmith. Why she blasting Aerosmith at 9:30 on a Saturday morning, I'll never know.

I laid in my bed for about an hour contemplating my next move. My mom came into my room (again) and gave me a ticket. Apparently I ran a red light a couple of months ago and they caught it on one of those cameras. The ticket is for $240. Obviousely I was mad. Also, the ticket says I was driving 40 km an hour. What the hell. Anyway, I'm pissed. I took it out on my cereal.
I went for a bike ride around my neighbourhood and then called Aimee if she wanted to go for another bike ride later. She did. I used one of those bike holders that the buses have to get downtown and then we sat on the patio of O'Hans and had lunch. Ryan, ex-boyfriend Ryan, came walking by and we had a nice chat. It was good. I miss hanging out with him. Anyway, after that we hit up the bookstore, where we ran into them again. Then we ran into them again when we were riding to the library, where I got a butt load of CD's and then realized I was going to have to ride all the way home with them. It turned out to be not so bad.

To sum up the feeling of today in one picture: p.s. I just want to be that chick on the bike.

Fun, Fun, Fun.

I finally found Fun With Dick and Jane! I've been looking for at least half of a year now, but I finally found it at Zeus today. I paid a little more than I would have liked, but my mom was SO happy. She loves the shit out of that movie. We're going to watch it tonight, because I still don't feel great and my head hurts too much for loud music/bar noise.
