Duck Superheroes and Drives Home.

Work was kind of a gong show today. There's a huge conference going on in Saskatoon this weekend, so pretty much my entire day was spent collating padfolios and typing up newsletters. However, in my spare time I finished reading Twilight (which I liked more than I let on), drew a duck super hero, drew pawn people, and after work I drove home to a very interesting sunset-ty kind of thing.

I Am Twenty Goin' On Eighty-Two.

I recently started knitting and now I'm kind of crazy about it.
Places I knit:
-in bed when I don't want to get up in the morning.
-on my bus ride to work.
-at my desk at work.
-on my bus ride home.
-at my desk at home.
-in my kitchen with a martini glass of grapefruit juice.
-in my car on the side of gravel roads while my dogs run around in fields.

I apologize to Matt for stealing this picture of Sufjan Stevens knitting off of his blog, but he just looked so darn cute and concentrated on his knitting.

My current knitting project. I'm making dishrags. I was going to make a scarf, but then I didn't add enough stitches. Also it would've been a horribly scratchy scarf. I might try to make a sweater next!

Also also, Aimee is on crack because she doesn't think that knitted dishrags is a thing. It totally is!

Baking Sundays.

My cookies smelled lovely. Yes, I am holding a martini glass.

Bad Smelling Smells That Smell Bad.

Let me set a picture in your mind.
I'm sitting at my desk at work...

An older lady comes in...

**

I think, "Oh, this old lady looks like a nice old lady." And she was, she was really nice, but she smelled like death.

I cannot convey to you how badly she smelled because I have never come across this smell IN MY LIFE, but I'm guessing it is somewhere between death and every bad smell ever. Now, you're not going to believe me, but I just got home and back to thinking about the smell. I ACTUALLY PUKED. It came completely by surprise and it scared the shit out of me.

** I didn't want anyone to associate the woman in the picture with the smelly woman, so I made her over.

Kitchen Lunchings.

I came home for lunch today. I hardly ever do that. Also, it's snowing.

It's come to this... blogging about the weather.

Old Time Scavenger Fun.

My camera battery gave out about a week and a half ago and I've been too lazy to charge it/couldn't find my charger. I found it now. It was underneath the driver's seat of my car. On a sort of related note I got a flat tire this week. Lame. I digress. Anyway, I was looking through my camera when it was finally charged and noticed that I forgot to post some of the pictures from a picture scavenger hunt we did a while back. Here goes:

1. Salute a man in uniform.
2. Interact with a statue. Clair kissed the baby, but what she didn't realize was the mother was also kissing her. Double points.
3. Street lamps.4. Popcorn machine.5. Two boys we made kiss.6. Get into a fountain.7. Get as many people as you can to play leap frog. I think we found nine or ten altogether.
That was a good night. Also, I'm taking a break from boyfriends for a while. I'm tired of them.

Boyfriend Of The Week #26

Meet No One. This week I'm flying solo because I'm a strong independant woman who doesn't need any man. Take that traditional roles!

Anyway, I went to Saskatoon this weekend. My cousin Travis got engaged and their was a party so I went up. I had planned on going up on Friday night, but only ended up going Saturday morning which worked out nicely. The party was last night and it was really fun. I've decided that I love being in a big group of strangers alone because then I'm FORCED to talk to people who I normally wouldn't talk to.

Jot Notes version of Saskatoon:
-chicken burgers
-cheesecake
-Malibu
-flirting with boy
-no hangover
-early morning drive back

I'm home now. Aimee's coming over to bake later. Tomorrow I have to go to work, which is lame because Tuesday's a holiday so almost my entire 40+ person work staff has taken the day off. It's going to be me and three other guys. We're going to have a party.

King Tut's Tomb.

I've been having a mildy bad day. My lower back has bruises from my super rough massage, I got half yelled at this morning at work, and to top it all off I came home sick at lunch. I'm not coming out of bed until I feel better. Hopefully it's tomorrow at 7:40 when I have to catch my bus. Fingers crossed.

On the plus side, I'm pretty sure I saw Elliot Gould on the bus today.

How Come Your Ass Is Always...

Things That Took My Day From Good To Great:
- getting a massage (from a man. a mansage.)
- my chiropractor's story about the penny that fell out of the big lady
- watching Friends at lunch
- a Wikipedia message request
- Obama on the left, McCain on the right
- getting all of my library holds
- walking in the rain with a snazzy umbrella that I found under my desk
- having Bob Dylan jokes with someone at work
- the print I found today by Patrick Leger (I'm pretty sure I'm just in love with him)

I just realized it's not Sunday.

Here's another print that I really enjoyed. It's by Patrick Leger.

Boyfriend Of The Week #25

Meet Jim Sturgess. So I was at work yesterday when somone came in holding a copy of Across The Universe. I wasn't a huge fan of the movie, save for that one glorious kiss. You know the one, the hottest kiss ever?

When I'm at work and I have nothing to do I look at prints on the internet. This one is by someone called "Shout".
