Shout Outs To A. Selami

The last couple of days have been so fucking awesome! Also, so fucking stressful. Let's go back a few days shall we, to London. We missed our train to Paris because Aimee read the ticket wrong. We went to the station and the replacement price for a one way ticket was £150, but he said he would give us a deal of £50 because he felt bad for us. Then, he ended up just giving us the tickets for free. You could tell he wasn't supposed to be doing it too because he leaned really close and he got all quiet. Thank you A. Selami, you helped us dodge a huge bullet.

We hopped the next train to Paris and arrived there around 3:30. We decided to just take a cab because we had absolutely no idea where the fuck to go. It actually didn't end up costing us very much and on the ride over we saw The Louvre, which totally made it worth the money. We checked into our hotel which was ADORABLE. Also, there was a pod shower! It was really small and out of the way, but super nice and the receptionist was hilarious. He was kind of a charmer, but sort of old(er). We got to joking around the next day and he said, "You are rich. It is all in your eyes." Holy cliche Frenchman, Batman. We walked around, got lost, I ate a gyro, took pictures of Notre Dame and unsuspecting French people, walked around some more, contemplated renting bikes, didn't get hit by cars, found the Eiffel Tower and rode all the way to the top! When we got up there we decided to just walk down all of the stairs, but you can't do it from the top, only the second floor, so we walked down the Eiffel Tower from the second floor. Other crazy shit happened, but I'll just say it in person to everyone later.

On the train yesterday from Paris I was REALLY happy. It just sort of hit me all at once, and I started making all these plans, and writing down things I want to learn to do (like speak French, and knit, and make jewlery etc. etc.). I was just completely happy. It was a strange feeling, I can't fully explain it, but even my iPod was on board. Everytime I smiled the music in my ears became louder, which would make me smile harder. It was truly fantastic. I don't think I have ever been happier in all of my life.

Three countries later we're in Dublin. We got here last night at around midnight because we missed our flight out of London (and had to pay for £50 replacement tickets, karma came to bite us in the ass for all of the good luck we'd been having) but we're here now which is nice. We had the funniest cab driver ever last night. He was telling us how when people say "crack" here, they just mean fun. Not crack cocaine. That isn't fun. When we got to the hostel all of the lights were out in our room, so we had to fumble around and find our bed. The room (actually the whole hostel) is stifling hot. Sort of unfortunate but it's clean, and safe and the breakfast doesn't suck. Well, it sucks a little bit but there was some sort of bacon, so I'm okay.

Talk to you later home slices!

Thank you for posting! I am happy you are happy.

You should definitely learn French, because then we would be able to speak French to one another!!

I should probably warn you that since you left I have become extraordinarily classy and sophisticated. This is evidenced by the fact that I am attending a gala tonight. A GALA!! And I am totally going to wear a dress.

It is a good thing I am not travelling with you guys because I would be having conniptions left right and center. You have already missed two trains and one plane!! Don't think I am not keeping track.

Based on where I think you were, e probably has a gyros from the same place, although there are literally hundreds of gyro places around there...
