My family was being really stinky yesterday, so I took off my rubber gloves, picked up my car keys and hit the open road. Other than my family (my mom and my brother) freaking out on me yesterday, I had quite the lovely day. After going to Aimee's house and breaking down we drove to Saskatoon on a whim. The ride out there was pretty uneventful. We listened to American Idiot, which I have been wanting to revisit lately, followed by a shwack-load of Decemberists. When we got to the city I thought that maybe my cousin would be home, so we went over to their house and scared the shit out of their room mate, Nicky.
Obviousely our trip turned down Broadway way to a little place I call awesome. Or Amigos. We ate there and then walked around downtown for a while. Everything was closed, which was good because I had no money along (or money in general). We stopped in at Calories, because let's face it, I always do. We got some toffee cheesecake, and these fucking awesome little chai shortbread cookies. Delightful. We were going to stay in Saskatoon and just get shitfaced, but I didn't know what to do about my car, and we wouldn't have had any way of getting around, so we made plans to head back to our city and go ahead with the shitfacedness. Somewhere along the way I decided I should just go home and face my mother, so we saved the drunkeness for another time.
